Tracy Hoye

Music was Tracy's first love.  She has been singing and playing piano and flute since she was a child and, though academics took her in a different direction, music was never far away.

While earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Benedictine College in Kansas, she sang in concert choir and church choir and was captain of the dance team.  A Master's Degree in Social Work at UNO allowed her to fulfill her dream of practicing mental health with troubled children and families, assisting people in finding meaningful ways to communicate and connect.

Leaving the workforce to raise four children, Tracy returned to her music roots in both local music theater roles and various church choirs.  Since 2008, she has worked as a Music Ministry Director, leading worship as both a solo cantor and director of multiple ensembles.

In 2017, Tracy discovered the world of high school show choir and became an immediate and avid fan.  Show choir's use of song, dance, and connection to tell a story tapped into her passion for both music and mental health.  She has witnessed its transformative power in the lives of young people and is thrilled to have an opportunity to explore its impact with adults.
